These workshops, called “Hymninars,” demonstrate a method for writing high-quality, publishable hymns. The first day is devoted to learning the rules of writing, and the rest of the week is devoted to practice. Each person enrolled is required to write one good verse during the week; a good verse is one that would be published in a hymnal and outlive the author. The Hymninar addresses music on a limited basis.
